Mai’s diverse personal and professional experience enriches her practice. She has a background in various somatic models and training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), a model that fosters adaptive change in individuals through relational, experiential, and integrative techniques. With couples, Mai uses Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a model that emphasizes transforming emotional experiences and strengthening relationships through creating more secure bonds. Mai has worked successfully with people dealing with life transitions, cross-cultural issues, and a wide variety of concerns as well as with mixed-race and LGBT individuals and couples.
